    Why and how to avoid?

    Solution:

    Perform the following:

    Step 1

Start AutoPIPE Vessel and open your model that does not work, save this file to a new folder, and try to execute strength calculations..

    Does the model analyze?

If Yes, great. it as just a problem with the folder location of the model

If No, continue to next step.

    Step 2

Next, open an AutoPIPE Vessel example model:

     C:\Users\Public\Documents\AutoPIPE Vessel_40.06.00.007\Examples\Vessel Example Models\Vertical\ aem AD Merkblatt

Then try to see if you can execute strength calculations with this file.

    Does the model analyze?

If Yes, then the issue is in the specific model, please send AutoPIPE Vessel EMVD file in a Bentley Service Request for review.

If No, please uninstall the program completely, download the installation file from Bentley, reboot the computer (important step), and reinstall the new version again. Then continue to next step.

Note: when reinstalling confirm that any virus protection application has AutoPIPE Vessel listed as an acceptable application or suspend virus protection while installing.

    Step 3

After reinstalling, open the same AutoPIPE Vessel example model mentioned above:

    Does the model analyze now?

If Yes, great. There was a problem with the installation

If No, continue to next step.

    Step 4

    Open the following folder location,

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Engineering\AutoPIPE Vessel_40.06.00.007\Calcul

Was procal_x64 file located in this folder

If yes, no action required. The application should be working, only suggestion at this point, file a Bentley Service Request, reference this WIKI page and that the problem dialog above is still appearing.

If No, continue to next step

    Step 5

Close AutoPIPE Vessel if already running. To fix the issue please follow these steps:

    1. Open “run” dialog and type “regedit.exe” to open Registry Editor.

    2. Go to the registry path “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Bentley Engineering\AutoPIPE_Vessel_40.06.00.007\Calcul”

    3. Change the key “TargetPlatform”  Value Data from x64 to x86.

    4. Close the Regedit application

    Step 6

Launch AutoPIPE Vessel again, open the same AutoPIPE Vessel example model mentioned above:

    Does the model analyze?

If Yes, great, there was a problem during the installation that is now fixed.

If No,  only suggestion at this point, file a Bentley Service Request, reference this WIKI page and that the problem dialog above is still appearing.
