    Q. While modifying lateral support above 2100 inches from ground on a vertical skirt supported column AutoPIPE Vessel Crashed, why?

    Problem:

    Application crashes when I put lateral support above 2100 inches from ground on a vertical skirt supported column.

    Solution:

    Any support added to a guided column above 2100 in total length (includes length of skirt) leads to program crash. This happens due to a defect in the GUI which is currently under investigation and would be fixed in the next build to be released in September 2015. Please for the moment consider keeping the supports below the elevation of 2100 in or perform hand calculations.

    As an example shown below the support has been added at 1799 in so that the total height till the support from ground = 1799 + 300 (skirt height) in = 2099 in < 2100 in
