    Problem:

How to run the Trial version of AutoPIPE Vessel?

    Solution:

Download and install the program as directed here.

Using CONNECT Edition v.43 Update 1 (43.01.01.011) and higher:

Users must now sign into the Connection Client, afterword start the AutoPIPE Vessel program. On the first time opening the application, a dialog box for License Configuration will appear. Choose the license configuration options that you would like to trail and press the OK button to close this dialog. Next, open BLT (Bentley Licensing Tool), click on the word Tools at the top, on the dropdown select Refresh Policy. By doing this the application will go out to the server and check for your entitlements. In a few moments all 3 tabs on this dialog will be refreshed. On the Entitlement tab, review the Product and License type information. Details about License type available and meaning:

Commercial – The product is recognized and available for use on the organizational account. Able to use all applicable features per the license selection - see here.

Trial – The product is not recognized on the organizational account and is utilizing a trial period defined by the product (usually 7 days) if still available.

Evaluation – The product is utilizing a 30-day evaluation license assigned by an administrator.

Contact your Bentley Onsite Admin for details on evaluation

Contact your Bentley sales person for details on extended Trial - Bentley Onsite admin should know your account sales people if not, see here.

***Important *** as needed, be sure to back into AutoPIPE Vessel and adjust the License Configuration selection based on your entitlements shown in BLT. Otherwise, close the application immediately to avoid any overages.

    Using CONNECT Edition v.42 Update 4 to v43 Update 1 (43.01.00.63):

Open the License Configuration dialog, select the radio button in front of "Trial", enter the Key sent to you by your salesperson. If you do not have a sales person, contact Bentley and request one be assigned to you.

CONNECT Edition v.42 Update 3 and lower:

AutoPIPE Vessel does not have an actual trial license. AutoPIPE vessel can only operate in one of 3 modes: Demo, Vessel, Vessel Enterprise. If the program is opened and a valid license is not available, the program will revert to demo Demo mode, even though LMT shows that a trail count down is ensuing.

After the trial license expires in LMT the program will continue to function in DEMO mode until correctly activated with a valid Vessel or Vessel Enterprise License. if interested in trying a full version, user needs to contact their Account / Sales manager requesting an evaluation license from the Bentley Licensing department.

Note: While using Trail / Demo mode, AutoPIPE Vessel will not allow the user to Save the model, use Calculate Strength, Generate Drawings, or perform Cost Estimation. These features are only available in the full licensed version.
