After filling a Bentley Service Request the development team has suggested to install this patch in order to fix the issue.
How to safely install the patch and uninstall if needed?
An email would have been sent with a link to download the new patch software. Using the steps below install / uninstall the patch as needed
Important: a. Close all AutoPIPE program(s) currently opened.b. Making changes to the Application folder may require permission from company's IT department.

Step #1: Create a new folder on the desktop (ex. \Patch),
Step #2: Open email from Bentley and select the link to download the patch to the folder created in previous step
Step #3: Open folder on desktop where patch was saved too, should be a single ZIP file.
Step #4: Using any archive software (ex. 7zip..), unzip contents to the same folder
Step #5: Open folder containing the unzipped files in order to view the names of files (ex. ap_mfc.dll, autopipe.exe, etc..).
Step #6: Open AutoPIPE installation folder:
ex. AutoPIPE CONNECT V11.. install folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT v11
Step #7: For each of the files in the unzipped folder above, first locate the corresponding file in the installation folder, change the name of the file by adding "test_" to the beginning of the filename
ex.
ap_mfc.dll ---------> test_ap_mfc.dll,
autopipe.exe ---------> test_autopipe.exe
How to change Write Permission to an AutoPIPE installation folder?
Step #8: Copy / Paste all the files in the unzipped folder above to the AutoPIPE installation folder where the files had just be renamed.
Step #9: Start AutoPIPE, select Help> About, confirm Patch update has been installed, and then test new patch to make sure that the reported problem has been fixed.
Step #10: Reset user profile using steps here.
Step #11: Regardless, reply back on the SR email to report all testing done on the new patch version. Does the new patch fix the reported issue? Development needs to know.
Step #12: Again this is a patch version, the user should update to the next commercial release once it becomes available. The fix in the patch version should have been incorporated into the newest commercial release.
Note: On some computers the update may be blocked by security settings. Right click on the each of the files copied into the installation folder and confirm that the security setting Unblock is enabled (checked ON).
Step #1: Assuming steps above were completed to install new patch.
Step #2: Located each file that was copied / pasted into the installed folder and delete those file(s).
Step #3: After removing all pasted files. rename each file that starts "test_" back to the original file name
test_ap_mfc.dll ---------> ap_mfc.dll,
test_autopipe.exe ---------> autopipe.exe
Step #4: Start AutoPIPE, select Help> About, confirm original version is now being used.
Step #5: Reset user profile using steps here.
Step #6: Regardless, reply back on the SR email to report why patch was removed from the computer before the next commercial release was made available. Did the new patch fix the reported issue? Development needs to know yes or no.
Step #7: Again, the user should update to the next commercial release once it becomes available.
