Problem:
Why Corrosion Allowance on the Component Properties dialog in AutoPIPE Vessel is grayed out?
Solution:
The option “Pressure bearing” is not checked. On any component without “pressure bearing”, the corrosion allowance field is disabled. Because AutoPIPE Vessel doesn’t considered corrosion allowance without pressure. A component without pressure is used in specific cases: e.g. a cylindrical shell between two chambers used as a support. This kind of component is like a skirt for which the corrosion is not taken into account.
