03-s. Export Model to STADD using ISM (*.)

Bentley’s Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) allows structural engineers and designers to share structural engineering project information among modeling, analysis, design, drafting, and detailing software applications.

More details on the philosophy behind ISM and how the process works can be found HERE and HERE. The chart below shows how structural engineering and BIM software brands interoperate with one another using ISM.

    Create ISM Repository

Select File > Import/Export > ISM > Create Repository to create a new ISM repository by exporting an analytical piping model. This ISM repository can be later imported or opened in other Bentley ISM-aware applications.

At this time there are no reported issues with exporting ISM files from AutoPIPE.
