    Description:

Bentley AutoPIPE CONNECT Edition v12.3 (v12.03.00.17) - English

Bentley AutoPIPE CONNECT Edition is a stand-alone, engineering application for the calculation of piping stresses, fatigue stresses, fluid transient, bowing or thermal transient analysis, flange or pipe support design, and equipment nozzle loading analysis under static and dynamic loading conditions. In addition to 30+ piping codes, AutoPIPE incorporates ASME, JSME, British Standard, European, API, NEMA, ANSI, ASCE, AISC, UBC, GOST and WRC guidelines and design limits to provide a comprehensive analysis of the entire system.

This new release provides new features, critical code updates, and enhanced product interoperability. This is a product generation update for AutoPIPE CONNECT (v12.03.00.17) which includes several bug fixes plus the following new features:

What is New & Changed in AutoPIPE

The following outline identifies new features and enhancements in the AutoPIPE CONNECT Edition version 12.3:

    Piping Codes

    • Added the 2018 edition of ASME B31.3 Process Piping. Major changes include Alternative Occasional Allowable calculations using Appendix V, Sustained and Occasional loads calculations using coincident operating conditions, updated weld strength reduction factors, and updated material library.

    Reports

    • The SQLite Report Manager (located on the Tools Ribbon) now supports legacy text reports, custom Microsoft® Excel® reports, and custom Microsoft Word® reports. Legacy text and custom Microsoft® Excel® reports are now certified for commercial use.

Note: Microsoft Word® reports are a  [Technology Preview ]

    • Filter controls (i.e., Code Stresses, Displacement, Anchor, Support, Force and Moment) can now be applied directly to Output Quick Reports from within the Batch Report dialog.

    Analysis

    • The Support Optimizer performance has been improved by employing multicore hardware and parallel evaluation of scenarios. This Select Entitlement Feature is now fully certified and is available for commercial use.

Note: Use of this feature is available to those with an active Select Subscription.

    General

    • Added an Open Folder button to the Log Settings dialog to open the folder where log files are generated. Log files capture the success/failure of program operations and are a valuable tool for the Bentley Technical Support team to troubleshoot issues.
    • Added the Installation Test Set feature to launch the AutoPIPE Installation Test Set (ITS) to verify proper operation of the AutoPIPE program once it has been installed on a computer.
    • Rotating Equipment can now be inserted as a graphical symbol on a plot.
    • The License Configuration dialog has been improved to clarify all license options, including the Product Evaluation license.
    • An Ideas command has been added to the Help Ribbon, which launches the AutoPIPE Ideas area of Bentley Communities where you can submit and vote on ideas to improve AutoPIPE.

    Interoperability

    • AutoPIPE models can now be exported to a Caesar 2016 (and later) model. This is a high-fidelity export of piping geometry, supports and load definitions directly to a Caesar C2 file without the need for a Cii neutral file
    • Aveva E3D pipe stress files (.xml) containing pipeline geometry and properties can now be imported.  [Technology Preview ]
