07a. AutoPIPE version using SES licensing (v12.x and higher) reverts to demo mode, why?

What should a person do when AutoPIPE 12.x or higher that use SES (Subscription Entitlement Services) licensing reverts to demo mode. Perform the following steps one at a time and confirm each step.

    1. Is connection client opened and are you signed in?

IF yes, Continue to next step

    IF no, or unsure,

    a. Select link here to learn how to open Connection Client and sign in.

    b. Contact your Bentley On-site admin to make sure that you have been registered, ask them under what username and password to use for signing in, and to confirm your license entitlements.

    2. Open BLT (Bentley License Tool), is your email address shown below File, Tools, Help (top left side of the dialog)?

IF yes, Continue to next step

IF no, go back to Step #1 above and confirm that you are signed into Connection Client. Also, confirm that you are connected to the Internet.

    3. While in BLT, Refresh policy and send Logs Now (click here), does the Access column show "Allowed" for all rows on the Entitlements tab.

IF yes, Continue to next step

    IF no,

    a. Try again.

    b. Confirm that you are connected to the Internet.

    c. Click here and follow the instructions to activate your products.

    d. Refresh your Policy again.

    e. Cannot continue unless Access fields are set to Allowed or Trial for each row. if Access fields are set to Denied or Offline, contact your Bentley Onsite Admin

    4. Try to start AutoPIPE at this time and select your edition (Standard, Advance, Nuclear). Are you able to select the correct Edition of AutoPIPE without reverting to demo mode?

IF yes, Done, continue using the program.

IF no, go to next Step

    5. Reset CONNECTION Client, then repeat steps 1-4 again.

After resting Connection Client will AutoPIPE now get a license correctly?

    IF yes, great continue working.

IF no, go to next Step

    6. Run a Health check using Connection client. Does a health check return all green boxes

IF yes, go to next Step

IF no, contact your Bentley Onsite Admin to address any red boxes, and repeat health check before continuing.

    7. Contact your Bentley Onsite Admin, ask them to check the following entitlements for you:

Do you have Entitlements for: AutoPIPE, AutoPIPE Advance, and/or AutoPIPE Nuclear?

IF yes, Continue to next step

IF no, ask that you be given entitlements as needed.

Has your Entitlement country been set correctly?

IF yes, Continue to next step

IF no or unsure, ask the On Site admin to check (click here). Entitlement country should match the country where the license contracts are registered too, usually the Ultimate ID / Site location. Entitlement country is different than Profile country. Profile Country is the location where the person is using the a license.

    Example:

A company had their headquarters located in Exton, PA, United States. However they had branch offices around the world (ex. Canada). The Canada branch office signed a contract with Bentley. A person in the United States office needs to be added to the license pool.

    a. What should be used for the new persons' Profile Country?

Correct, the United States, because the person actually works in the US

    b. What should be used for new persons' Entitlement?

Correct, Canada, because the license contracts were registered by the branch office and not the Business headquaters location in the Unite States..

If using a Proxy service, are your proxy settings correct?

IF yes, go to next Step

IF no, first update proxy settings before continuing to next step

    8. If you get to this point you will need Bentley Licensing team involvement.

IF you continue to have issues with licensing the application, please contact the nearest Bentley office and Log a Service request for Licensing
