What features / licensing choices are available in AutoPIPE Vessel v41.05?
Starting with AutoPIPE Vessel 41.05.00.009 and higher there are 3 types of licenses available:
1. Heat Exchanger
2. Standard
3. Ultimate
The following table lists features that are available when selecting a given license (give attention to item super script notation where indicated, details at the bottom) :
Feature
AutoPIPEVessel
Heat Exchanger
Standard
AutoPIPEVessel;
Ultimate
(1) Choice of one code (per user’s choice and as mentioned in license agreement) is included in the license for Vessel Standard or Heat Exchanger. However, the user may select more than one code in which case they will be charged separately for the code that is NOT covered in the license. Conversely, Ultimate license includes ALL the design codes, contact your Bentley salesperson for details and pricing.
AutoPIPE Vessel will not limit users ability to select any code in the program. User may select more than one code in which case they will be charged separately for the code(s) that are NOT covered by their license agreement. Again, Ultimate license includes ALL the design codes.
AutoPIPE Vessel will display a dialog where the user is asked to confirm their license selection before continuing. It is at this point where the user must fully understand the limitation of this note. Again, code selection will not be grayed out or limited with in the application. Users that select Heat Exchanger and Standard Vessel type license must self monitor and inform others who have entitlement access to AutoPIPE Vessel of the information contained here.
Additional info:
1. Again, only those features with a check mark next to them will be available with the indicated license type selected.
2. For ELS accounts only, these accounts will be reset / invoiced on their renewal dates for any usage of Add-on codes.
3. If a particular piping code or edition is not available please log a Bentley Service Request asking that it be added.
(2)
a) AutoPIPE Vessel uses a CAD plugin to create drawings, therefore a cad program (ex. AutoCAD, Microstation, Solidworks, etc..) must have been installed before trying to export the respective drawing from AutoPIPE Vessel.
b) CAD export capability will be limited only to the type of equipment that can be modeled while using a Standard or Heat Exchanger or Ultimate license version of the program.
Example:With Vessel Standard license enabled, user cannot export a Shell & Tube heat exchanger model to drawings. User must have a Vessel Ultimate or Heat Exchanger license enabled to export a Shell & Tube heat exchanger model to drawings. Because, Shell & Tube heat exchanger can only be modeled with an Ultimate or Heat Exchanger license and not a Standard license.
(3) Individual component modeling / calculations can be performed instead of full equipment modeling and design.
