&lt;h1&gt;&lt;span style="color:#993300;text-decoration:underline;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Solution:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/h1&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-left:60px;"&gt;Yes, the calculation of a body flange according to ASME VIII, div 1, considers a rigidity criterion (par. 2-14).&amp;nbsp;This paragraph has been included in the Appendix 2 so it is mandatory now, before 2007 it was a non-mandatory appendix.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-left:60px;"&gt;AutoPIPE Vessel is in accordance with the revisions of the code: if user selects a revision &amp;lt;= 2006 he has the choice to apply or not this criterion (shown in the screenshot below).&lt;/p&gt;
