How to review AutoPIPE Nozzle Material Library?
Example: SA-645
1. Determine what material library has been selected in a model by reviewing the System tab:
Example: ASME 2009.
2. Open the Program installation folder.
Using AutoPIPE Nozzle 08.11.08.35: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE Nozzle V8i\
3. Locate all the *.MDB files available and copy / paste them to a folder other than C:\Program Files (x86)
> asme2000.mdb
> asme2009.mdb
> jismatlib.mdb
> khkmatlib.mdb
4. Open the appropriate file for the material library in your model, (example asme2009.mdb)
5. Open the following tables:
> A2000A
or
> A2000B
Note: For DIV I open A2000A table and for DIVII open A2000B table.
6. Search the CodeID column for your material (ex. SA-645)
7. Confirm the following values from this table:
a. Section Type [mprod] = Plates
b. Material Type: [mgroup] = Carbon/Low Alloy
c. Material [codeID] = SA-645
d. Alloy Designation UNS No. [unsno] = K41583
e. Production Type [mprodtyp] = Plate
f. Grade [matgrade] = (blank)
g. Composition [mcomp] = 5Ni - 1/4 Mo
h. External Pressure Chart [extcht] = CS-3
i. Minimum Tensile Stress [tenmin] = 95
j. Minimum Yield Stress [yldmin] = 65
8. Open the Material key table and cross reference the mcomp value (ex. 5Ni - 1/4 Mo)
9. Confirm the following values from this table:
a. Modkey = B
b. Expkey = 7
10. Open tables, modgroupB and group7 for review based on Ambient temperature
Find for temp setting,
On the Modgroub table, Emod (or Elastic Modulus) = 27.8
On group7 table, texp (expansion) = 0.00
