Shortly after starting AutoPIPE the program crashes / quits when not touching keyboard or mouse, and not using any specific command.
Why and how to avoid?
It was speculated that this could be related to a graphics issue. Thus the user was asked to perform a GFW test. Unfortunately the same thing happened when running the GFWTest app.
Next the user was asked to run WinDBG while again running the GFWtest. WinDBG generated a log file (portion of log file shown below).
In this case, the GFWTest log shows that AutoPIPE first looks for intel driver and then for an nvidia driver and then crash. In normal case the program finds the intel driver and continue using it by loading more modules of intel driver. Therefore, user was asked to update all of the computer drivers, especially the graphics drivers. Also, while reviewing the system information it showed that apart from intel and nvidia there are some other graphics cards as well. suggested to run AutoPIPE with specific graphics card (nvidia card).
Unfortunately none of the above resolved the issue. After another review of the log files and computer information indicated that graphics driver DisplayLink graphics card was always being used. As a process of elimination, the computer was removed from its docking station, rebooted, and AutoPIPE was started. The program ran without issue. However when reconnected to the docking station the same problem as before occurred. . Therefore, the problem was directly related to the docking station.
Solution, at this time there is nothing more that our development team can do as the issue was not with AutoPIPE but hardware and software outside of the program. If you experience the same issues, check to see if the following links help:
