As a part of Bentley’s SELECTserver sunsetting phase, effective April 23, 2021, all SELECTserver-licensed software administrative functions will be managed within Entitlement Management.
What this means:
The SELECTserver Administrator’s Portal will no longer be available. To continue activating software and administering licenses, administrators should visit the Subscription Services Portal.
Users will still be able to access SELECTserver-licensed software during this time. End-user machines will not require any reconfiguration to continue software activation.
Any previously set product restrictions using a custom activation group or a temporary activation key must be reconfigured. If you have previously configured product restrictions, please review the SELECTserver to SES Migration Guide to follow the steps necessary to maintain those restrictions within Entitlement Management. Please complete this configuration prior to April 23 to ensure there are no unanticipated activations or usage generated based on those activation keys.
Client access restrictions will no longer be supported. This means that all existing client access restriction rules will be ignored.
For tighter control over access to software, please upgrade to Bentley’s CONNECT Edition applications, utilizing SES user-based entitlement restrictions and Licensing Alerting.
