How to avoid it and fix it?
This message appears when the ratio of D/T >= 50.
The only options are:
Since the model geometry violates the clause requirements per table 1-1, 2.6 tee notes 1, 7, or 10, the program will not calculate the stiffness's nor SIF's per B31.J. Instead the program will take the conservative approached, refer to minimum default values.
Example:
Tee fitting, Ratio of D/T = 64.2, as a result the ASME B31.J equations per table 1-1 Image 2.6 were ignored and instead used conservative values Run SIF in plane, iir =1.5.
