The following is displayed when entering 0.00 value into a Support dialog field in AutoPIPE:
---------------------------Error--------------------------- E54-79: No Joint Type & User SIF at the selected location(s)---------------------------OK ---------------------------
How to avoid this issue?
This message occurs after the user initiate the Modify "Joint Type and User SIF" command, and there is no user inserted Joint Type or User defined SIF at the current node point. Remember there are 2 different types of Joint data in an AutoPIPE model; 1. Joint data that is automatically inserted when modeling piping components (ex. Bend, Pipe, Tee, Reducer, Flange, Valve, etc..), and 2. Joint information that a user models at a node point that can override an existing calculation or to evaluate maximum SIF value to be used (ex. automatic code calculation or override with user defined Joint type / SIF value).
Again, first the user needs to Insert / model a "Joint Type or User SIF" at a node point before one can use the Modify "Joint Type or User SIF" command.
How to review the model to know which point have Joint type data inserted?
Method #1:
Open the Input grids, select the "Joint Type, SIF" tab. IF the "Joint Type, SIF" is not available (missing) from the grids, than no "Joint Type or SIF " has been defined in the model.
Method #2:
Generate a complete model Input listing report and review "Joint Type / User -SIF Data listing" sub report
Both methods will clearly indicate the node points where Joint data can be modified. Otherwise, initiating the Modify> Joint Type and User SIF command at any other node point will generate the error message above.
