    39. What settings to use for DIC and OTL on the harness tab in AutoPIPE Vessel?

    Question:

In a specific model technical support was asked to review the DIC and the OTL, in the harness tab. Previously the user entered the inside diameter of the grille and the OTL clearance at Ø int and the software calculated the tubular layout correctly. However, in the current version of the program, the user " hacked" the values to get the right result by manually setting DIC=318 and OTL Øint grille clearance of 11.1 mm.

    Answer:

Again, in this specific model, the tie rods being positioned outside the OTL, start by doing the implantation without the tie rods, by imposing only the known data: the number of tubes = 61, the DIC=344 and the clearance = 37.1, do the calculation, the "OTL is determined by the program, you still have to manually position the tie rods.
