Problem:

What's the best way to model thrust via a flowing fluid on Autopipe (Ie the impulse-momentum change equation if I was to do it manually)?

Example, model the thrust due to the fluid rapidly changing direction (ie at a 90 degree bend).

Solution:

You must manually apply the computed forces throughout each segment and pipeline in this situation (steady state). These forces are mostly ignorable, but in some circumstances—such as with hanging pipelines or big diameter pipelines—they should be taken into account.
