    27. How to force AutoPIPE to use a specific graphics card?

    Problem:

    How to force AutoPIPE to use a specific graphics card?

    Solution:

     Consider using one or more of the following to restrict the Graphics cad used with AutoPIPE (in all cases first step close all AutoPIPE applications):

    1. Use Device Manager to choose a Disable Adapter

    a. Open Device Manager

    b. Expand the tree for Display adapter

    c.  Right mouse click one of the display adapters

    d. Select Disable device

    e. Done, try to restart AutoPIPE

    2. Use 3rd party manufacture control panel applications to set preference

    Example: Nvidia users

    a: Close all AutoPIPE programs

    b: Navigate to the autopipe.exe file found in the following folder:

    AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.00.00.10 and higher:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT

    AutoPiPE V8i 09.06.xx - 09.01.xx.xx 

    C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE V8i ***** 

    c: Using the mouse, right-click on autopipe.exe

    d: Select Run with graphic processor, and then select High performance NVIDIA processor

    e. Done, try to restart AutoPIPE

    Note:

    1. If the computer has an NVIDIA graphics card this feature maybe turned off by default. Enable it

    a. Open NVIDIA Control Panel

    b. On the NVIDIA control panel, under the Desktop menu drop-down select "Add "High performance NVIDIA processor" to Context Menu".

    c. Close NVIDIA control panel and try Step #3 above again. 

    3. Use Windows Graphic Settings

    a. Search Windows for Graphic Settings

    b. Under Choose an app to set preferences, select Desktop App

    c. Press the Browse button, navigate to the autopipe.exe file found in the following folder:

    AutoPIPE CONNECT 10.00.00.10 and higher:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\AutoPIPE CONNECT

    AutoPiPE V8i 09.06.xx - 09.01.xx.xx 

    C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE V8i ***** 

    d. Press the Options button.

    e. Select the proper options for your situation and press SAVE button

    f. Done, try to restart AutoPIPE

    Note, remove these Graphic settings as need.
