    28. % of Operating - Earthquake / Motion / Wind setting on the Load Conditions tab if the Vessel dialog in AutoPIPE Vessel

    Answer:

    % of Operating - Motion

If checked, the field is enabled. The motion applied for the case is a percentage of the motion in operating conditions. By default 100%. Disabled for operating case.

    % of Operating - Earthquake

If checked, the field is enabled. The earthquake applied for the case is a percentage of the earthquake in operating conditions. By default 100%. Disabled for operating case.

    Note:

Starting in AutoPIPE 43.01.01.011 for operating

The program should never have allowed the user to make modifications to the % of operating" setting for Case = operating. This should have always been unchecked and set to 100 % behind the scene. Again, the new version is the correct way for Case = operating, while the previous versions were wrong.

Unfortunately there is no possibility to apply a percentage on Wind/Earthquake in operating condition. A workaround is to define different Wind and Earthquake settings for each conditions.

    For example, for Wind loads:
    In Operating condition, input a dynamic pressure taking into account a percentage: e.g. 100 daN/m² * 0.9 = 90 daN/m²
In Shutdown condition, uncheck the percentage, open the Wind dialog and input a dynamic pressure taking into account a different percentage: e.g. 100 daN/m²*0.7 = 70 daN/m²
Repeat this procedure for all study cases

    % of Operating - Wind

If checked, the field is enabled. The wind applied for the case is a percentage of the wind in operating conditions. By default 100%. Disabled for the operating case.
