Problem:

Unable to perform lifting lug calculations without supports.

Solution:

Feature for modeling of lifting lugs without support is not available in current version. New idea has been posted on the Bentley IDEA Portal here, We recommend you to vote for this idea for consideration of being added into a future version of the program.

There is a workaround for horizontal vessel, 

Insert the saddle support and fill completely by filling all the required input with desired and lifting lug details,

Then delete the saddle support from model and you will still get the lifting lug,

This workaround does not work for vertical vessels.
