Problem:

The following occurs when printing an output report, Page breaks causes data associated to a single node point to span pages:

How to avoid?

Solution:

This is not an error but working as designed.

For quick reports, AutoPIPE reviews the Printer Setup Line/page setting and determines the maximum lines of data that can fit onto a single page. The algorithm does not consider if the data belonging to a single node point and must be maintained on the same page. The program will maximize the data leaving as little white space as possible across a single sub-report.

Yes, it may be convenient to have all the combinations related to a single node point on the same page. However it is not practical, because at one point the number of combinations per node point will exceed that which can be printed on a single page. Example, AutoPIPE allows the user to define up to a 1000 non code combinations and 1000 code combinations. What size font would need to be used in order to print 1000 combinations per node point on a single page that includes header information? A very very small font.. Therefore, the combinations per node point must span multiple pages.

In conclusion, as of August 2023, there is no setting to automatically prevent data from spanning multiple pages. Only workaround, after generating a report, manually open said report in a text editor and update as needed.
