Problem:

The following appears when ever opening the program:

E951-31 cannot find or read AutoPlant.cnf file. Please reinstall the program

Why and how to avoid?

Solution:

One or more of the following may resolve this issue:

a. Copy AutoPlan.CNF from coworker using the same exact version to application install folder, reset Profile, and reboot the computer. 

b. If a previous version of the application was installed, be sure to reset your profile and REBOOT the computer. 

c. Reinstall the application.

i. Delete all user's AutoPIPE profiles folders (from inside of AutoPIPE select Tools Ribbon> Settings> Profiles, delete both folder locations)

ii. Delete all AutoPIPE installation folders (may need user permission and unhide folders, regardless check both C:/ Program files, and C:/Program files X86 folders)

iii. Download fresh installer from Bentley Software download page.

iv. Reboot the computer

v. User with full admin rights should Install latest version 

d. Jan 2024, the aforementioned problem occurred for one user when updating to AutoPIPE 23.00.01.367. The solution was giving full control of the folders, and updating from Win 10 to Win 11.
