Problem:
The Axial force and Bending moment values from the Flange Analysis' load tab, are not reported or considered in the calculations, why?
Also, does not appear to be used in the flange calculations
Solution:
As of Jan 2024, the Axial force and Bending moment values from the Flange Analysis' load tab, are not reported. However these values are considered in the analysis calculations. To prove this, perform the following test:
1. Generate Flange Analysis output report and record all results considering Operating conditions.
2. Go back to Flange Analysis module - Load tab, change Load Combination to User and set both Axial force and Bending moments values to a significantly different value, example 1.00 for both.
3. Analyze the flange, generate an output report, and compare the values to the previous values. Note, there should be a difference.
After performing this test, the difference in results from before and after changing only the Axial force and Bending moment values should prove that these values are considered in the analysis calculations.
