Description:
Ability to select multiple files not in order from a folder listing using the Merge File option.
Example, folder coantains A.pcf, B.pcf, C.pcf, D.pcf. Ability to select A.pcf and D.pcf to be merged into one model in AutoPIPE.

PCF Translator, add ability to import beam / frame into model.
True nature of the problem is that most software applications do not support exporting beam information when creating a PCF file. AutoPIPE is only able to import information that is actually in the PCF file. When the information is made available in the file, the CAE development team will incorporate this enhancement.

Move the following options to Tools > Settings dialog, so the that user can easily change these settings from GUI instead of changing these settings manually in map file.1. Tolerance2. Retain Flange Length3. Ignore Continuation Components4. Ignore Overlapping Components

Update: July 18, 2013:
This is directly related to the issue when the following is displayed on the translator dialog during cthe conversion process.
*** Import process aborted due to overlapping components ***Conversion Aborted..
The CAE development team implemented detection and blocking of overlapping components as they may cause issues during import. Some models do import in AutoPIPE where as some hang. Even for the ones that import ok - the issue is that there will still be overlapping pipes which may not be correct. PCF Translator generates a log of all overlapping components to help identify to the user their location and number of occurrence. These log files are located in the same folder as the PCF file. This log file is named .log3.
The default behavior is to block the import and let the user review and correct the model in the original software that was used to create the file. However, if the user wishes to still import the model without making changes, we now have an option to ignore overlapping components during import. What this option does is that it ignores any new component that overlaps an existing component. This is still in BETA phase and is scheduled to be included with AutoPIPE 9.6 (release Q3 2013). If you are interested in the BETA version please log a service request mentioning this CAE number, requesting a BETA PCF translator.
If you do use the PCF translator, it is at your own risk. In addition to a complete model review, minimize the number of Model Consistency Check, and Design Checks before running the analysis.
PCF Translator should ignore the second overlapping component. User has an option to turn it OFF/ON from PCFIN.MAP file.
Add new Piping codes, Materials and Component libraries in PCF Translator to make it consistent with AutoPIPE

PCF Translator should be able to fetch material from Item code > description in case material is not specified in Attribute3 in PCF file.

Implement feature in PCF Translator to select different axis orientation for incoming PCF files and also select on which application axis to map i.e. (+ X Y vertical) or (+Y Z vertical).
Different options to select for incoming PCF files are1. +Y_NORTH2. -Y_SOUTH3. +X_EAST4. -X_WEST

PCF Translator should ignore all those components which are continuation to other pipeline.User has an option to turn it OFF/ON from PCFIN.MAP file. The continuation component has been identified by the CONTINUTION keyword.

During PCF import if pipe schedule is defined in PCF file then then the defined pipe schedule is not imported, only STD pipe schedule is imported.Avoidance: Manually update PCFin.map file, Schedule section, example add new line SCH 40 (1st col.) and S40S (2nd col).

Wrong density “kg/m^3” factor for metric unit system is defined in pcfin.map file due to which wrong values of insulation density and specific gravity are imported.
Avoidance:
Manually update PCFin.map file, Unit Distance Section; change kg/m^3 1, to kg/m^3 16.018464.
During PCF import corrosion allowance is not imported from PCF file if wall thickness (Component-Attribute4) is not defined in PCF file.
In PCF file if temperature is specified in Celsius (degree C) then it is not imported correctly in both English and Metric units.
PCF component data has “COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE” used for describing the information like temperature, pressure, material etc.Previously translator read the whole value and assigns it. Now translator has to extract the useful value from the complete string like “A106-B” from “BOMCOLUMN_Material_A106-B” string
During PCF Import, translator crashes if first component length in PCF file is less than tolerance.
PCF Translator: Importing API code as flange rating vs actual flange class
ITEM-DESCRIPTION Gate Valve B16.34/API 600 A851 Gr CF8M Flange CL 150 RF B16.47/A bolted bonn
Imports flange with rating 600 instead of actual i.e. 150.
PCF file is not imported if “COMPONENT-ATTRIBUTE4” (Thickness) is negative in PCF file. So program should ignore sign of thickness.
When import PCF file translator crashes. PCF file is attached for testing.

The keywords for the STRAIT and PCF options are incorrectly listed as 'UserStrait' and 'UserPCF'. They should be 'UseStrait' and 'UsePCF'. The problem was caused by a typographical error in the case where the autopipe.ini file does not exists initially and the program creates the autopipe.ini file. The file should be updated with corrected information.
