What does the following warning mean from the model consistency check report and how to resolve?
W726-195:Support D10 1-Zero length from 'supported' to 'connected' point
A support has 2 connection end points, Supporting and Supported:
a. Supporting, node point that is being supported (i.e. D10) by a support
b. Supported, location that the support is connected to (ie. Ground, or beam/pipe node point).
This warning (W726-195) is being displayed because the 2 points have exactly the same coordinates. Typically the 2 points should have different coordinates.
Example: if a pipeline is resting on a beam, the pipe node point (A02) directly above the beam node point (M2) are separated by the center-line distance between the beam and pipe.
Please see the following AutoPIPE help section for 3 methods of connecting pipe supports to beam/frame structures:
Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Modeling Approaches> Modeling Approaches> Frames .
When modeling Vacuum jacket piping best to offset center-line of one pipe (Jacket or carrier pipe) by a small amount.
Please see the following AutoPIPE help section for instructions to model this type of piping:
Help > Contents> Contents Tab> Modeling Approaches> Modeling Approaches> Pipes> Jacketed Piping
See in step 5 how it mentions to offset segment B. However, in your model offset either the carrier pipe or the jacketed pipe. It does not matter just so long as they do not share the same center-line in order to avoid this warning message.
