    02. Wind Enhancements and Defects for AutoPIPE

Note: if an enhancement or defect has not been added to the program, log an Service request for that enhancement. The more requests logged per an enhancement, the quicker the CAE development team will add that feature to the program.

The following enhancements and defects have already been requested:

    Defect 1108054:

Wind Exposed Segments report listing does not list all affected segments

    Development Project:  TBD.

    Enhancement 701160:

Update ASCE-7 wind code to 2016 edition

    Development Project:  TBD.

    Defect 203815:

"All segments exposed to wind" checkbox on Wind dialog is not synchronized with the "Apply wind" checkbox of Segment tab

    Description:

Under Wind Profile (Height and Wind Pressure), suggest to increase from maximum eight (8) sets of data to at least ten (10) sets of data to capture larger range of available data .

    Steps to repeat:

    1. Open Walkthru model

    2. Open the Segment tab of Review Component Data dialog and uncheck "Apply wind" for all segments

    3. Open the Wind load dialog

Observe that "All segments exposed to wind" checkbox is unchecked.

    4. Enable the "All segments exposed to win" checkbox and pres OK on the Wind dialog

    5. Open the Segment tab of Review Component Data grid

Note that the Apply Wind checkbox for all the segments are still unchecked.

    Development Project: 10.00.xx

    Enhancement 140470:

Add IBC 2009 to the wind profiles

Description:  Add IBC 2009 to the wind profiles

    Development Project:  TBD

    Defect 139097:Tracker#:11097

Ground Elevation for Wind Dialog entered in Feet only for all input units

    Description:

The Ground Elevation for Wind is always entered in Feet, regardless of the model units selected in General Model Options Dialog.

    Avoidance:

Always convert Ground Elevation for Wind to Feet before entering on the Wind dialog

    Development Project:  9.6.0.19

    Enhancement 138668:

Increase height-pressure data pairs for the wind profile to 10 or more

    Description:

Under Wind Profile (Height and Wind Pressure), suggest to increase from maximum eight (8) sets of data to at least ten (10) sets of data to capture larger range of available data .

    Development Project:  9.6.0.19

    Enhancement 138198:

Add option to set friction = 0 for non-linear analysis of Wind load cases

Description:  Add option to run non-linear analysis with friction = 0 for Wind load cases .

    Development Project:  TBD

    Enhancement 137103:

Add STAAD wind and seismic load generators

    Description:

Add STAAD wind and seismic load generators which includes ASCE-7, 2002 and ASCE-7, 2010 codes.

    Development Project:  9.6.0.19

    Enhancement 137023:

Add input grid for wind loading

Description:  Add input grid for wind loading  .

    Development Project:  TBD.

    Enhancement 109665:

Update ASCE-7 wind code to 2005 edition
