AutoPIPE is able to import a variety of file formats. However, CAESAR and Aveva PDMS read/write ability is very restrictive and can only communicate with AutoPIPE through the CII file format. Therefore the ability to read/write information between the 2 applications is well documented in AutoPIPE's online help, including complete information on mapping components.

Load Cases not defined when importing Caesar cii file.--I'm trying to import a .cii Caesar file, and the load cases are not defined. The geometry is there but I can't place any load cases.
Answer:
Once the cii file has been opened you must reset the load cases to run the analysis. Instead of selecting the icon to run a static analysis, go to the dropdown menus and select Load> Static Analsysi sets, confirgure the analysis set, press OK button, choose Analyze> Static, and then review combinations with Tools> Combinations command.
