    Comments, Questions, and Answers

    1. How to associate AutoPIPE with Projectwise

Answer: Log into the datasource in ProjectWise Explorer, with the program running select Tools> Associations> Programs...> Change "Select an Association view:" from  "All Associations" to "User Associations", then in the program listing find AutoPIPE, press the "+" to expand the menu, press on "Open", again press "Add Association",

and finally select AutoPIPE from the program listing provided:

Otherwise, choose the global option from the drop down to see what is being set by the ProjectWise Administrator for the open action

    2. Attention: see the following file for more information on Projectwise setup and settings:

      C:\ Bentley \AutoPIPE V8i SELECTseries \ProjectWise Integration.pdf

    3. Problem saving file to to ProjectWise folder, confirm ProjectWise settings and user rights to save files to a specific folder:

See if the ProjectWise Admin can turn off this setting for the user logged into ProjectWise as a test.  In the screen shot below from ProjectWise Administrator, unchecked is turned off

If that can not be turn off, see if the user is able to make a document in the folder that was created by logging into ProjectWise Explorer, right clicking in the folder and choosing New> Document.  If it prompts for a wizard, choose no wizard and give the file a name.  If they can successfully create the document in that folder, then it is proven not to be a permissions related issue.  If they can't create the document and get an error, then ask the ProjectWise Admin to resolve the permisson settings for that user in that project / folder.
