    06. The application has failed to start becuase of IEGLic.dll was not found

    Problem:

    After installing AutoPIPE the following is displayed when trying to open the program:

    ---------------------------
    autopipe.exe - Unable To Locate Component
    ---------------------------
    This application has failed to start because IEGLicLib.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    ---------------------------
    OK  
    ---------------------------

    OR

    ---------------------------
    autopipe.exe - System Error
    ---------------------------
    The code execution cannot proceed because IEGLicLib.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. 
    ---------------------------
    OK   
    ---------------------------

    How to fix this issue?

    Solution:

    Download and install Bentley IEG Services. This is a separate download from AutoPIPE that should have been a dependencies that was checked during the original download process.


    Bentley IEG – Confirm / Download / Install

    Installer must be logged onto the computer with Administration privileges, please do not assume that you have the rights, confirm.

    Products that utilize the Bentley IEG License service include:

      • STAAD Pro
      • RAM Structural System
      • RAM Concept
      • AutoPIPE
      • STAAD.foundation
      • RAM Advanse
      • RAM Connection
      • STAAD.Pro - QSE
      • STAAD.offshore
      • PULS

    If your application is not listed above you do not need to install IEG.

    1.    Confirm Bentley IEG is install and what version.

    Win XP:

    Open Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs> Select the words “Bentley IEG License Services”. The following view will appear.

     Select “Click Click "here for support information”.

    Win 7:

    Open Control Panel> Select "Programs and Features", search the list for Bentley IEG License Services and look to see what version is installed.  

    Version number should be 02.00.18.02. If your version is lower:  uninstall current version, download new version, install new version, and reboot the computer.

    Win 10:

    Open Control Panel> Select "Programs and Features", search the list for Bentley IEG License Services and look to see what version is installed.  

    Version number should be 02.00.18.02. If your version is lower:  uninstall current version, download new version, install new version, and reboot the computer.

    2.    Download:

    Send a request for a link to "Bentley IEG License Service (English) 32-bit"  most recent versions (02.00.20.01).

    3.    Install

    IEG must be installed by user with Admin privileges and cannot be pushed over a network connection. Please confirm you are logged on as an admin user, do not assume.

    1. Un-install any previously installed version of Bentley IEG License Service from Control Panels 'Add or Remove Programs' or "Program and Features"

    2. Locate the IEG file downloaded or insert the CD.

    3. Select “Start” , “Run”, or “Browse”

    4. Open the folder and run “iegls02002001en.msi”

    5. Accept all the Default settings.

    6. When completed, reboot your computer.

    7. See Step #1 to confirm IEG has been installed

    Note: 

    1. On Win 10: IEGLicLIb.dll file should be located under C:\Windows\SysWow64
    2. Install 32 bit version of Bentley IEG, The 64 bit version will not authorize the application as the program is a 32 bit application.
