Creating a new Open Plant project workspace manually
Using a default installation, the workspace projects are stored in the following location
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantPID (SS5)\WorkSpace\Projects
There is a project folder and a project PCF file for every workspace.
Assuming you want to create an IMPERIAL based project for SAMPLE......
Copy the OPPID_IMPERIAL folder and name it SAMPLE
Copy the OPPID_IMPERIAL.PCF file and name it SAMPLE.PCF
( the file and folder names MUST be exact duplicates)
Open the SAMPLE.PCF file.
Change both
_USTN_PROJECTNAME = OPPID_Imperial
_USTN_PROJECTDESCR = Imperial project
To
_USTN_PROJECTNAME = SAMPLE
_USTN_PROJECTDESCR = SAMPLE
Save and EXIT.
Which, if done correctly, should result in the SAMPLE workpace being available when opening OPPID.
Notice that SAMPLE is now a valid project (lower right hand corner)
