Setting Border Size to Avoid Clashes with Pipeline in Isometrics Drawing

Overview

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, Setting the Border Size to avoid Overlap with the pipeline or other objects. 

Problem Description

In user’s customized environment, sometimes few pipelines produces drawing with an overlap or crosses the Drawing window part which creates problem for the user. In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, using configuration variable we can control the area of generating isometrics lines to avoid such overlaps. Below steps will provide solution to all problems discussed above. This has been realized in context with Both AutoPLANT Modeler and OpenPlant Modeler. Below case has been taken using OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.  

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

  2. From Isometrics Configuration dialog box, select ‘Explore Style’ Option.



  3. It will open Config folder, Select Style.cfg file.

  4. Check for variable IE_BORDERSIZE = 20 present inside the file. See Image below:



  5. Remove # and change the variable from 20 to higher value as per requirement. Say IE_BORDERSIZE = 50.



    Note:- Size mentioned here in millimeters and 80 mm is the maximum limit. 

  6. Save & Close File.

  7. Generate Isometrics and Verify Results. See image below.
