Overview

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, Slip-on Flange required to get dimension from its face of flange.

Problem Description

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, for a pipeline containing a Slip-On flange on its end does not dimension it from its face of flange and it keeps on dimensioning from its weld point connection.

This might happen when End Type Mapping has not been done for a particular component and it fails to dimension it from its end. Below steps described to resolve the problem. This has been described in context with OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. However it can also be seen in context with AutoPLANT Modeler and OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

Steps to Resolve

  1. In Class editor, open schema OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.04.ecschema’.

Path to follow the default project schema:
    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\ OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Schemas

Note - For AutoPLANT user, there is different schema path location.

  2. Navigate to WELD_VALUE_MAP Class or check with End Type Map as a display level.

  3. Go to Property Tab, and select SLIP_ON.

  4. Check Isometric Value Map custom attribute and set value as ‘"SO". See image below.

  5. Save & Close Schema.

  6. Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

  7. Generate Isometrics and verify results.
