Background

This article will explain how you can change the weld size as per your requirement. By default the weld size for metric project is 5mm.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open the PCF file of your project. Say OPModeler_Metric.pcf.
  2. Locate the configuration variable given below.

    OPM_DEFAULT_WELD_SPHERE_RADIUS

  3. Change the sphere radius as per requirement. Let's change it to 10mm for example.

  4. Save the changes in PCF file and re-launch OpenPlant Modeler.

  5. Place components again to verify the result.

To Update Existing Welds

In case, the weld size is modified in the middle of the project, you might need to update the size of existing welds in the model. To update the existing welds in the model you can apply this key-in command "bmech rebuild all" which will update all the welds in one go. Please see below one example.

After execution of 'bmech rebuild all'
