Overview

In OpenPlant Modeler, Value Map is defined for certain properties of piping component. For example, rating property has the value map. In spec database it shows rating value in pound (LB) while after placement a component in OpenPlant Modeler rating value shows in class rating (CL). It is due the reason that rating value map is defined to the rating.

Problem Description

User is wondering that rating value is in pound (LB) in spec database (.mdb) while in OpenPlant Modeler rating value shows in class rating (CL).

For Example:

In mEX-OPM spec database (.mdb) for Weld Neck Flange.

After placement of Weld Neck Flange in OpenPlant Modeler.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.

  2. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.

  3. Locate the missing references schema as shown.

    For path:
    C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModelerV8i\WorkSpace\OPModeler\schema.

  4. Right Click and supplement schema as shown below.

  5. Locate the missing references as explained above.

  6. Expand Classes > Value Map > Rating Value Map.

  7. Switch to Property Tab and search class rating of 150 (CL150).

  8. Notice in OpenPlant_Physical_Catalog_Value_Map_section tab. For value of (150LB) pound rating, rating value map is defined as class rating (CL150).

  9. Since rating value map is defined as CL150 for 150LB it will show CL150 in the OpenPlant Modeler.
