Release Announcement - OpenPlant V8i CONNECT Services SELECTseries 6 - Refresh 2

On behalf of the OpenPlant team, it is our pleasure to announce the update release of the OpenPlant V8i (SELECTseries 6) products listed below. These products are now available live on the Bentley Software Fulfillment site. Under Brand, you can select OpenPlant to see the following released products.

• OpenPlant Modeler V8i (SELECTseries 6) (08.11.11.238)

• OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i (SELECTseries 6) (08.11.11.235)

• OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i (SELECTseries 6) (08.11.11.277)

  The release is also compatible with the previously posted:

• OpenPlant PID V8i (SELECTseries 6) (08.11.11.229)

  This release contains new features and capabilities that increase productivity and interoperability along with fixes for reported issues.

New enhancements include:

OpenPlant Modeler V8i (SELECTseries 6) Refresh 2

• Add functionality to generate isometrics from the Pipeline Manager/IsoSheet Manager using OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

• Enhancements in the Connectivity Checker adding more display options and color coding for the results

• OpenPlant Isometrics Manager V8i (SELECTseries 6) Refresh 3

• Create isos directly from an OpenPlant Modeler session without the need to create an i-model first or to work through OpenPlant ModelServer

• Handling of "dummy leg" supports, to represent it as pipe material in the iso and Bill of Material

• Multiple output formats are available at the same time. As a user, you can specify to have not only a DGN output file but also DWG, DXF, and PDF

• Settings in Style.cfg:
  - Example: specify "IE_OUTPUT_FROMAT = DGN, DWG, PDF"

• Settings in isoProj.cfg:
  - specify output folder for additional formats: IE_OUT : $(IE_DGN)exports/
  - specify PDF plot configuration file: IE_PLOTCFG = $(IE_CONF)plot.cfg

• Eccentric Reducers can be configured to have a label "Flat side UP" or "Flat side down"

• Various defects fixed

• OpenPlant Support Engineering V8i (SELECTseries 6) Refresh 2

• Support Drawing Production:

• Ability to adjust the leader lines on the support drawing

• Ability to show key-plan for support with respect to the nearest column line using the current working units

• Ability to define model views that are relative to the model orientation

• Ability to show the XYZ coordinate location of the support along the center point of the pipe on the support drawing

• Ability to split gang supports into multiple support drawings

• Ability to show weights in the BOM on the support drawings

• Support location relative to given Gridline in support drawing.
