Hello,
I am learning Auto Plant V8i and following the Bentley Learn server Plant Design Fundamentals.
I have been placing equipment and piping and have toggled the Master Nodes on but do not see the importance of these extra nodes. What is the significance of the Master Node?
Could you please explain a bit further, what do you mean by Master Nodes? As well images with comment would be appreciated, this would give better overview of the workflow you have described.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Artiom
Ok, the following command turns-on the master node. They are located around 0,0 like a large green node.
(at_Equip_setComponentMasterEntityVisibility 1)
the following command turns-off the master node.
(at_Equip_setComponentMasterEntityVisibility 0)
It does not appear that I will be using anything to do with Master Nodes but was wondering about their significance as an understanding of the "big picture".
CADTech1,
Which applications and versions are you using? Are you referring to the data points that look like wagon wheels that run behind the components that are placed?
Thank you,
Brandon Moberg
Thank you for additional information, unfortunately I have been not aware of the Master Nodes. Not sure if there are any significance in them. It could be that they are required as reference point during design process in some background routines.
As I understand this post was source of your question?

Yes, I was wanting to understand if there is any use for these nodes. I looks like they are just system required but not used by the designer.
