Hi all.
I've got a problem. I've prepared weld neck flanges and blind flanges catalogs. Now I should prepare catalogs of bolts, nuts and washers suitable to my flanges catalogs.
I found only these components about "bolts", but nothing more (nuts, washers):
I must rewrite German norm of bolts, nuts and washers: DIN 934, DIN 933, DIN 125. How should I do this ?
Hi Przemyslaw,
Please check below similar wiki for adding classes for component table in catalog editor.
http://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/design___engineering/w/plant_design_and_engineering__wiki/21412.to-add-ec-class-name-for-component-table-in-catalog-editor
However For NUTS and Washers, if there is only Nut length and Qty that matters, then you could add the same to BOLT classes as one of its field.Hope this helps. Please let us know if some specific requirement is there.

I would advise you to add the NUTS and Washer details in BOLT classes like its Description, Nut Length,Qty per set of Bolts. I believe, it will be sufficient information to have it. See sample file containing the information. This will further help you to cater the information with flange set per bolt and Gasket.
On your second query, BOLT class is parent class under which types of BOLTS has been defined. You may define any, but this has to be defined in spec and under JOINT classes.
See image below:
I would prefer to refer sample mdb files, which will guide you to achieve the settings in structured way.

Hello Rahul,
if i want to pair Nut , Bolt and washer with different EC name in Flange, is this possible?
and how can i do that.
Because in Bolt description we can add only the Nut description not of washer (that will be too long) and also Number of nut and washer how we will mention.

Chandni.
Hi Chandni,
Nut qty can be defined based on description mentioned in bolt class and also has NUT length field in it.
For washer you may think of adding new class under fastener/Seal and define it under JOINT class.
for thickness of washer can get adjusted with BOLT_XCESS length to accommodate so that bolt length calculation gives correct result.
You also need to prepare the washer table in spec so that it can read all information and thus the information may be produced in isometrics.
At the moment it is not available in default workspace. you need to create all based on above information.
Do let us know if any success!
