  • Hello Vivek,

There are no certain criteria to limit the number of lines, as it may continue to produce the longer list depending on number of components in a drawing. User may tweak a little by changing the fonts, height/width, removing sub headers for components etc to adjust the BOM. You can locate the nodes anywhere in seed file and it will pick that point.

Relatively there are certain enhancements logged for BOM Text management where user can fix the limits for components and progressively assign another column exceeding the limits (One Point of View). Sooner we would be able to comment on exact interpretations.

    Hope this information would suffice.

  • Thanks Rahul,

I was intending to insert one table below BOM, just would like to make sure that it should not overlap with BOM at any point of time,

But as there is already an enhancement filed, I would only add, by some means we should be able to know how much space BOM is going to cover, by defining number of component indirectly.

  • Hello Vivek,

You may create a service request as well if you wanted to share your thoughts on this for a better BOM management, which will help us to take discuss with development team. However one way to check BOM extent, is to get something written in report.def file as shown in below image and by commenting other reports present in report.def file using a # sign.

In BOM LIst, you can see all Rows which you can count easily.
