OPIM - Random fastener error on manual partial selection

Recently I met an issue that when running OPIM in AutoPLANT with manual selection. If I manually select patial of the process line, even just a piece of pipe or a reducer, I got an error on fasterner, like weld, gasket, sometimes it says unconnected Components, sometimes says Scaler, symbol missing...it is kind of random.

I have set continuation component max to be 1.

Any idea?

Thanks,

Maggie

  • Hello Maggie,

There are several types of errors illustrated in above images. Ideally user need to select carefully while picking the component for processing Isometrics by manual selection.

For Unconnected type of component, you could check production log by right clicking on failed iso's and try to analyse as per message delivered to that file. (You may file an SR if this occurs continuously with steps you tried)

For Scaler Symbol or Item Code missing, user need to check the cell file where the End types has been correctly defined or not.

For PCF generation fail error, you will keep on working unless you actually need these iso as stress input. However you can check the logs for missing End preps due to which it is failing. For more information you can check pcf.ini file present under style folder.

Also for various error types, you could check below wiki for reference.

Also you may file an SR to log this scenario with particular test conditions.

  • When I selection the pipe, I was just using one click, it should not selecting other components. And the pcf error happens on this process line but not another lines with fasterner error.

And these error more likely happens on imported process lines (from pxf import or from relationshipmanager model import)

When I manually selected a piece of pipe with no pipe support, I expected at most only 5 components was readed (max continued component is set to 1) - pipe, two welds and two continued components. However, when I run these problem line, from the message it read more components than I had thought. The fasterner is not close to the selected pipe some times.
