When Adding Desired Custom Property Value to OpenPlant Isometrics BOM by following the Wiki, can't find the schema, or class in class editor, and can't add customer properties as shown on Wiki.

When following the wiki to add custom property value to a BOM, in this case, material grade and tagnumber, I can't even find the class under the OpenPlant_3D schema file.

  • Hello Karl,

On Communities, you may find some common articles referring to AutoPLANT Modeler with OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, as well as OpenPlant Modeler with OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

However editing schema in class editor is a common practice and only concern is to get the schema files through correct project folder, as AutoPLANT Modeler and OpenPlant Modeler Project folders are different.

While dealing with OpenPlant_3D schema, sometimes it is needed to supplement it with other schema's which means you are adding another schema present on working project folder on top of it. This could be done by using right click mouse on OpenPlant_3D schema and adding the supplemental schema by navigating it to correct project folder. This would imply on it and provide user an option add Custom attributes to get some unique functionality on its properties. There are other similar schema as well whcich can be found beneficial for the use.

I have modified one article for your reference. Similarly that can be done for other jobs using it as a reference.

We will try to add extra details on other wiki's wherever required.

    Hope it helps here.
