Could you please check Microsoft Visual basic for application software (VBA) is install on your machine.

Also please attach screen shot of pull down menu. Looking forward to your reply

We have visual basic installed and I am looking to alter the system Assembly File Location from my C: Drive to our Network.

The LOCAL_ROOT\P&ID\SYM\ASSY...

to a location on our G: Drive.

Still could do with some help on this topic...anyone ????????????

Assembly Manager is located in P&ID-Tools > Assembly Manager.

The Assemblies in AutoPLANT P&ID are stored in two main locations - Project or System. Please refer to the following for modification of these paths:

Project Assembly Folder Location:
Controlled by the ..\PROJECTNAME\Project.ini variable P&ID_ASSEMBLIES as outlined below:

[PATHS]
P&ID_ASSEMBLIES=Standards\P&ID\Assemblies (This can be modified to whatever the project requires. It is best to keep this in the project folder location somewhere).

System
This is hard-coded and cannot be modified as it is controlled by the application itself and install location.

Modification of the System path was said to be possible in the help files contained within the P & ID Module - if this is not the case and you can only modify the project location then I would not be able to give access to other Technicians. Keeping these Assemblies on my C: drive is not ideal as the hard drive can crash ...perhaps I should back these onto a CD ROM and will be able to replace in same location when new drive is fixed......
