Hi all,
i wanna integrate steam traps in my pipe class, but the schemas only have a Steam_trap class without any graphics information.
Can i integrate steam traps myself, like i copy the left properties and information from another class (mybe from any valve with main and run port) or any of the next OPM versions bring this ? (i use at the moment OPM version .568)
regards, Markus
Hello Markus,
Yes it has not been included in default OpenPlant Modeler. I would suggest you to log a Service Request with relevant details to take this up with development team.
In schema one way to check possibilities of graphical placement is to have "Creation Attribute" custom attribute present on each class. You can also check other class for reference.

ok now i can load my steam traps out of my pipe spec as custom component. The only problem is OPM has no button for steam traps in the task panel. Can you help me how i can add a button in the task panel or how i can add the steam traps to an existing button ?
As graphic for the steam traps i use the Gatevalve like the generic valve use this too.
You can integrate it. You can check Customize option present under "workspace" option. Also you can refer Help file for details using Customize keyword.
Hope it helps here.
Hello Marcus, Yes you can add a special button in the task panel with the help of this wiki:http://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/design___engineering/w/plant_design_and_engineering__wiki/28032.how-to-create-custom-component-s-tool-button-in-openplant-modeler-task-panel
As graphics for the Steam Trap in this wiki I have used Y-Strainer. Regards, Kestutis Mitkus
