Hi All,
I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I was unable to find anything apart from AutoPLANT answers on Flexible hoses.
In OpenPlant Modeler I have been unsuccessful in placing a flexible hose where the hose has read the Piping Spec. Each time I attempt to place a hose the following is shown in the Message Center - "No component found with initial selection from specs"
Looking at the schema, I can't see any difference between a Pipe and Flexible hose when it comes to the spec.
Can you supply an example spec with a flexible hose that works with OPM and OPIM.
Thanks
Ray
Hi Ray,
Please download the spec file from below link.

Let me know if it works for you.

Hello Ray,
There are various ways to deal with the situation.
I have just explained, the way you need the Flange connection explicitly. However to get the multiple end condition to be picked based on End preparation, you need to change the symbol value from "FLEX" to "FLEX" & IM.EndPrepMap(). And also need to rename the cells based on End Preparation to pick it up correctly. For Reference check GAUGE class symbol name.
For Reference, example you can view other classes, e.g. GAUGE & its child class LEVEL_GAUGE_RETURN, how they are associated and what are the cell naming found in lisocomp.cel and under MISC.dgn template.

Hi, i have been dealing with this issue on OPIM V8i 08.11.11.285 and found that the symbolsizes.def from this version needs to be updated according the following values:
DEF B2CP FLEX SEGLEN 16
DEF B2CPI FLEX1 SEGLEN 16 16
DEF BRETURN FLEX2 SEGLEN 8 8 16
Here you can find the already edited "symbolsizes.def ":
5710.symbolsizes.def
Also, the color code used on this version for the CP's is different, so i think you should update the "lisocomp.cel" considering this.
You'll find an already updated version on the following attached file:
8081.lisocomp.cel
I hope this helps!
