Gaskets and Bolts on end of line valve appear on continuation isometric

Good Day,

We have 2 lines with the following components:

Line 1 consists in a Pipe, Flange, Gaskets/bolts, Valve, Gaskets/bolts

Line 2 consists in Flange, Pipe

The connection between line 1 and line 2 are line 1 Gaskets/bolts and line 2 Flange

When generating the isometric with OpenPlant isometric manager version 08.11.11.224, Line 1 ends at the valve and Line 2 has the gaskets/bolts.

What should I do to force those gaskets/bolts to appear in Line 1 isometric instead of appearing on Line 2 iso?

In the Model, If I double click on the gasket I can see it belong to line 1. The same happens if I double click on the bolts.

Here you can see an example of the isometric of Line 1:

Here is the isometric of Line 2:

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks

  • Hello Luis,

I have tested your described situation and on my side everything works fine.

How are you connecting these components? How are you connecting L1 Pipe>Flange>Gasket>Bolt>Valve<Gasket<Bolt? And then you are adding L2 Flange>Pipe?
I can't place components by this order, because Gasket and bolts are placed only when connecting to other component and using connective component's data. Give us here more information how are you connecting these components.

I have placed L100 pipe and connected a weld neck flange to it.
Then I have changed LineNumber and connected Valve>Flange>Pipe. Bolts and gaskets were placed automatically.

Gasket and bolt is placed using connective components data, so if you will place flange and connect valve to it, gaskets and bolts will inherit valve's data. If you will try connect new flange to valve, gasket and bolt will inherit flange's data. Check your components placement order.

    it should be:
Place Line 2(Pipe>Flange) and then connect Line 1(Gaskets/Bolts>Valve>Gaskets/Bolts>Flange>Pipe)

Hope this information will be useful. Looking forward to hearing from you.

  • Hi Kestutis,

    Thanks for you response.

We have tested your suggested procedure, but now weg get the gaskets and bolts on both isometrics!?! :(

I'm attaching the 2 generated isometrics and a model in pxf and imodel with both lines.  The lines are:

    0-8"-FW-027-HA5-NI_13

    0-8"-FW-027-HA5-NI_1

We will really appreciate If you can kindly check them and give us a hand with this

Just in case, we are using the schema version 1.04.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards

  • Hello Luis,

Sorry for this delay. I have just tested your provided model with our latest AutoPLANT Modeler SS8 08.11.13.211 and OpenPlant Isometrics manager 08.11.11.224 version and results where good.

As you can see this issue is fixed in our latest release. Which AutoPLANT Modeler version you are using? I assume that this is AutoPLANT Modeler SS6 build. Could be, that in latest OPIM version, some schema differences are conflicting with older AP version.

I believe that if you could upgrade your AutoPLANT version, you won't be facing this issue anymore.

  • Thanks a lot Kestutis,

We are using SS6 build. The current project is about to end, so for the next one I'll pass this info IT..
