How to set up Openplant Modeler and Support Engineering so that program generates ISO and PXF that include supports made by OPSM?

Hi,

Would you please describe how to set up programs to work together in documentation generation tasks?

We have made piping with OPM and supports with OPSE - then attempted to generate isometrics, export to AutoPIPE with no success, i.e. no supports included in PCF, PXF. So, there must be something we are missing...

Maciej

  • Hi
The OpenPlant Pipeline Manager dont find the supports inserted with OpenPlant Support Engineering and dont generate Isosheets with supports, the same is with generating file PXF for AutoPIPE program.

  • Hi,
Currently we are using OpenPlant 08.11.11.87 (both Modeler and Support Engineering) and AutoPIPE 10.01.00.08.
I don't understand your question about generating ISO and exporting PXF... We do it exactly the same way it is done for 'built-in' supports (i.e. Modeler supports...). While working with 'built-in' all is OK. However supports inserted by OPSE are seen by Modeler during isosheet generation task, but later on OP Isometric Manager works very long and never completes the task.
PXF is generates 'as usual' but... without support points and elements.
So, maybe I should state that this is a problem of Pipeline Manager rather than Modeler overall.
We'll double check and let you know - further actions by Tomasz Bakalarz... :-)

  • Hello Maciek,

Could you please add us here information about OpenPlant Modeler, OpenPlant Suport Engineering and AutoPIPE versions.
As well information about how are you generating isometrics of OpenPlant Modeler piping and OpenPlant Support Engeneering support and how are you exporting it to AutoPIPE?
Workflow steps with screenshots would definitely help us understand everything correctly.
