I would like to import properties (ie. titleblock information) from old PDF isometrics into OPM. Is there a way to do this? I'm currently using SS5 OPM but would also like to have this information for SS6 OPM. Currently, we can extract the properties

RE: How to import ISOSHEET properties from a Text File to an Active DGN File

Hi Kestius,

I am not looking to import the information into Isometrics Manger. I should also note that I'm not a CAD Admin so I can't modify setup files. I want to import directly into OPM within an active DGN file. I was just hoping that there was a key-in to import data into OPM. I found the one for importing PIPELINE data and was hoping something similar existed for ISOSHEET data.

Thanks.

RE: How to import ISOSHEET properties from a Text File to an Active DGN File

Hi TMZ,

Please check below wiki section, which contains information how you can import your required data from Excel directly to OpenPlant Isometrics Manager using ODBC querying in textnodes.txt file.
https://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/w/plant_design_and_engineering__wiki/18475/dbquery-usage-logging-debugging

Please see the link below for importing Pipeline Instances.

https://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/w/plant_design_and_engineering__wiki/8569/how-to-import-unit-service-pipeline-instances-from-a-text-file-to-an-active-dgn-file

I want to be able to import isosheet properties in a similar or better way. This would all be completed in OPM rather than in isometric manager. See attached image for an example of some of the properties that I would like to import.

Thank you.

Check this wiki article and update us:
https://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/w/plant_design_and_engineering__wiki/17252/how-to-convert-autocad-drawing-template-file-as-default-seed-file

If it wont then, please give us more detail explanation with screenshots. Isometric models are generated using OpenPlant Isometrics Manager and by default a seed file with all titleblock with all information, settings and properties is located in Isometrics style. If you have upgraded only OpenPlant Modeler, then you should be able to get same Isometrics as it was before. If you have upgraded OpenPlant Isometrics Manager then import your required seed file from OPIM SS5 style folder. As well you can import whole style folder and test.
https://communities.bentley.com/products/plant/w/plant_design_and_engineering__wiki/12624/managing-isometrics-styles

I hope this information will be useful. Please let me know if you need additional help on this topic or if you have other concerns/questions.
