Hi,
I'm struggling a bit to make a regular expression (in schema) work and I suspect that I'm not using the right format for my regex. Does someone know the regex "flavor" that OPPID is supporting? JGsoft, .NET, Java, Perl, etc. ?
Regards
Alain
Hello Alain,
What expression are you using here? Kindly elaborate which tool you are using for it.

I use RegexBuddy to test my regex but it doesn't matter what tool I'm using, I need to know what OPPID is supporting.
OpenPlant PID was developed using .NET., so based on this, I am assuming the "flavor" is .NET.
My preferred tool for checking my Parser Regular Expressions is RegEx Designer by RAD Software. THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT of this product. It is the one I use, and have been successful with.
I simply plug in the parser regular expression from the schema, add the tag result based on the ECExpression, and then process it. If it doesn't match, i will add the required elements and test again, repeat if required, and then paste the resulting parser back in the schema.
I hope this helps,Tony DeRosa

Thanks Tony,
Alain, Please let us know if this helps!
Hi Tony,
Sorry for taking so long to answer. I did test with the .NET flavor and my expression was valid according to my RegexBuddy tool but it was still failing in OPPID. It's not urgent anymore because we decided to use another method but I'm pretty sure this issue will come up again in the future. We'll investigate more at that time.
Thanks for the help.
