Hello to the OpenPlant community!
I'm looking to export a structure I've built in OpenPlant Modeler to Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) using the Create Repository function in OpenPlant.
I get the error "The ISM_ENGINE_PATH configuration variable is set to a non-existent application. Please update the configuration variable in config\appl\StructuralModelingComponents.cfg. The ISM Import and Export features require this setting".
I've downloaded Structural Synchronizer, closed OpenPlant and tried again. Same message.
I changed the ISM_ENGINE_PATH configuration variable path in OpenPlant by Help -> Key-in Browser -> mdl silentload CFGVARS -> ISM_ENGINE_PATH to "C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\Structural Synchronizer CONNECT Edition\Synchronizer\StructuralSynchronizer.exe" - what the path to the Structural Synchronizer application is on my PC - but I received the same message again.
I confirmed this change of path with the configuration file in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Users\OPModeler.ucf" which states: "ISM_ENGINE_PATH = C:/Program Files/Bentley/Engineering/Structural Synchronizer CONNECT Edition/Synchronizer/StructuralSynchronizer.exe" - the same as I changed it to in OpenPlant.
When I copy and paste the ISM_ENGINE_PATH file in my Windows Explorer it opens Structural Synchronizer as expected, so I know it's the correct path.
I have OpenPlant Modeler V8i (SELECTseries 6) Version 08.11.11.225 and Structural Synchronizer CONNECT Edition Update 2 Version 10.02.00.140.
Has anyone encountered this issue? I'm out of ideas for why this isn't working.
Thanks in advance and happy Friday!
Cheers,
Thomas
Thanks Deepak,
In addition to above comment, user should ensure the v8i version for Structural Synchronizer 08.11.11.50 should be installed.
This has been tested and updated in wiki article.

Hi Thomas,OpenPlant Modeler must have compatible version of Structural Synchronizer. Please uninstall Structural Synchronizer > Restart of machine is necessary > Compatible installation of Structural Synchronizer.

Hello Thomas,It seems that correct version of structural synchronizer is not installed, please check correct version of structural synchronizer that is compatible with OpenPlant Modeler version 08.11.11.225. You can check the correct version that is compatible with your current version of OpenPlant Modeler.
Regarding the same please refer below wiki article.

Hello Thomas,
Thanks for posting your query on Plant Forum!
I would suggest you to re-install the product and try again. Also there is latest version available for OpenPlant Modeler, which also caters in-session generation on Isometrics through Pipeline Manager, which save time for user.
See FAQ's section for version compatibility for OpenPlant Modeler for in session isometrics generation.
