Im looking for guidance how to make OpenPlant Power PID data comunicate with OpenPlant Model?
Does anyone can recommends the best approach or any training session / tutorial / forum / blog?
Many Thanks
Hello Gilberto,
Thanks for posting your query on Plant forum!
The basic process begins by publishing an i-model from the desired OpenPlant PID drawing. In OpenPlant Modeler a working files created. At this point you see the default MicroStation reference command and reference in the PID i-model. When an i-model is referenced in, a new tab is added to the Item Browser. This new tab is the Consistency Checker. Multiple PID i-models can be referenced into the same working model and a new Consistency Checker node will be added for each PID.
When an OpenPlant PID i-model is attached, the Consistency checker tab is added to the standard Item Browser and will display the components in from the OpenPlant PID i-model. As stated before, multiple i-models can be attached simultaneously displaying multiple Consistency Checker trees. In each tree each component will be color coded and supplied with a status indicator. The status indicators are:• Green with a check mark – the component has been placed in the model.• Red with minus sign – indicates a component has not been placed in the model.• Blue with a warning sign – indicates a component has been placed in the model but has inconsistencies between the 2D and 3D component.
There are few articles available on communities where some problem resolution has been discussed.

Thanks for this, great!
I was able to sync and create some piping and pumps, but Im having trouble with Instruments / control valves. When i try and place them from the consistency checker (by right click place) I get the error "No component found with initial selection from specs". Probably some to do with the schemas and that element its not defined... Anyway Im completely clueless about schemas, any suggestion where I could start training / tutorial about schemas and PID interoperability?
thanks
We dont have a specific training on Schemas but we have administrator training for OpenPlant PID and OpenPlant Modeler which covers all the schema customization. You can send an email to my manager Ari.Rantasalo@bentley.com or our Project manager Vern.logrie@bentley.com and they can help you with proposals. Alternatively, you can also take on-demand learning courses from Bentley LearnServer.
