Hi Rahul, Jaya,

In the Oil and Gas, Energy and Chemical industries outside USA, this is the most used environment.

In a brownfield project, it is very difficult to argue with the client to change their way in order to allow the use of OpenPlant instead of other software (PDMS, SP3D, CADWork, ADesk Plant 3D, even PDS!) that does not have this limitation. They never accept to have part of the plant annotated in a different way.

OpenPlant is a superb design platform, very easy to use and very powerful, and to have this limitation is very difficult to explain to the customers and users.

There is a published workaround for SS6, to display the pipe sizes in inches instead of mm, but when you try to use the consistency check, the modeler cannot use the metric pipe specs from the OPPID, then it is useless.

What I am trying to transmit to you that this is a severe handicap for the software, not a small issue.

We evaluated and discussed this internally, currently OpenPlant PID CONNECT Edition does not Mixed Metric Project, so we have logged Enhancement Request # 948703 for this concern.
